Neiwai (pronounced ‘Nay-why’) is a self-proclaimed solution wear brand that specializes in creating comfortable underwear, loungewear, and athleisure. Since the brand is not cheap, a common question is, “is Newai worth it?”
I wondered the same thing before I made an order.
Currently, one pair of underwear runs $15. And the bras range between $39 – $68.
“Is it worth it?” Is a valid question. Especially since you have to order these delicate items online without being able to try them on.
Neiwai Product Experience
I purchased my first Neiwai Barely Zero bras and Mid Waist Briefs over 6 months ago.
After almost constant use, I can say the price was worth it.
Good support, fit, and feel. Above all, they are comfortable and easy to dress around.
See my last post for a full review.
Compared to other day-wear bras, like Walmart or Target brands, the price of Neiwai is a little higher, but the superior design, utility, and comfort made these Neiwai products worth the money.
Sizing
My experience with the one-size fits all claim is a good one.
I do think that is due to my size being a traditional ‘small’.
Expect the surface area of the one-size-fits all cup insert to be larger than other regularly sized bras, but the adjustable strap and way the cup is built into the bra goes a long way to be able to get the correct fit.
Neiwai’s claim with the Barely Zero line of bras:
“Comfortably fits anyone who wears a band size between 31.5″-40” and an A-DD cup – the ultimate bra for nursing, fluctuating sizes, and easy gifting!”
For some additional reviews fit testing the Neiwai Barely Zero band size claim, I’ve included:

- And a blog post discussing the utility of these bras as a postpartum and nursing bra.
Price Point
Neiwai’s current price point is higher than when I first purchased my sets last November.
This is due to the 30% off Black Friday sale and buying the ‘pick 3’ Barely Zero Spaghetti Strap Wireless Bra + Brief Special Pack, where you get a discount for buying 3 sets vs 1.
What I paid: $73.50 ($105 without Black Friday deal)
What you pay now: $114.99
The non-sale price of each set when I bought it was $35.
Now, the price of each set is $38.33.
I initially paid $24.50 per Barely Zero Bra + Mid Waist brief set–around $7 per brief and 17.5 per bra with the sales price. So, I’d say definitely worth picking up for the sale price.
If you can’t wait for the product to go on sale though, the current $38.33 price per set for the 3-set bundle is still a good deal compared to other brands like Victoria Secret.
Neiwai vs. Victoria Secret
Compared to my Victoria Secret bras and laser cut underwear, Neiwai is a comparable price and a more comfortable product.
A quick search of the VS site reveals similar wireless lounge bras range from $34.50 – $49.95, while Neiwai ranges from $39 – $49 per standard bra.
Neiwai now has a lace style bra that lists for $68, while Victoria Secret lace bras list for $69.95.
And I will say the lace Neiwai version of the day-wear Barely Zero bra is extremely subtle and not as overstated as most VS designs can be.
The VS laser cut underwear are slightly cheaper as standalone pieces compared to the Barely Zero Briefs, but I personally find the Neiwai options more comfortable.
When it comes to coverage, the VS laser cut underwear are on the cheeky side, while Neiwai briefs offer full coverage.
While the panty line of the Neiwai brief is a little thicker than the VS laser cut counterpart, the full coverage fit the Neiwai briefs still make them acceptable for wearing under leggings or LuluLemon joggers.
Product Care
A main comment I’ve seen with reviews on Neiwai products has been about the recommended product care of Neiwai pieces.
The company recommends hand washing bras and underwear instead of machine washing.
This is a main aspect to consider when deciding if Neiwai is worth the purchase. Will you have time to baby these items by dissolving some soap in water and hand washing the bras and briefs?
I’d say the process is quicker than you’d think, but the drying process does take half a day or so.
There is an option to machine wash these products, but it is recommended that happen in a protected laundry bag.
What if you accidentally wash and dry your Neiwai brief? Since I’ve already done that, you can expect the brief to shrink a bit, but in my case that was fine and it still fits well.
Return Policy
If you’re still wondering if Neiwai is worth it, you can always make an order on a couple of sets and try them on at home before deciding to keep the items.
Shipping is free for orders over $50 and you can complete free returns within 30 days.
Bottom Line
Overall, I’d say Neiwai products are worth the money. The time that has gone into creating the multi-functional design and fabric makes these products a cut above other similarly priced undergarment companies, like Victoria Secret.
Neiwai has been around for 10 years now, offers a thoughtfully made product with a unique claim to fit a range of band and cup sizes with one bra, and to some level meets that claim.
Consider checking them out for yourselves, especially if you can catch them on sale.
