Aritzia jeans are worth the investment if you’re looking for a solid 100% cotton pair of jeans.
Denim Forum is a brand exclusive to Aritzia. They have jeans for everyday wear, including styles and cuts you typically can’t get in a thrift store.
Today, we’re going to focus on the Denim Forum Boyfriend High Rise Loose Aritzia jeans.
Quick Thoughts on Aritzia Jeans
Aritzia has become a go-to brand in the last few years. Not only is it a major style hub for influencers, but she is also championed by internet cool-girl, Emma Chamberlain, who posed as the face of the brand once upon a time.
The everyday luxury slogan hints at the humble beginnings of the boutique, which got its start over 70 years ago. A little history on the shop, Aritiza was founded in Vancouver, Canada. Since then, it has grown into one of the most sought-after boutiques. Aritiz is known for basics and collections of semi-trendy pieces.
Aritzia’s jean selection includes a number of brands that partner with the store, like Levis, Agolde, and Citizens of Humanity. Denim Forum is a brand of jeans made and sold exclusively under the Aritzia moniker.
Aritzia Jeans Pricing
Aritzia’s Denim Forum jeans run around $100 per pair. This range is similar to the range of Levis, which run around $100 – $120. The Citizens of Humanity jeans cost around $300 per pair (yikes!), and Agolde holds the middle ground at $178 – $250.
Aritzia often runs sales on the Denim Forum jeans. The reason I bought my first pair of Aritzia jeans was the $39 sale.
Final Sale
Keep in mind that Aritzia jeans are final sale when on sale. Also, there are only a few select storefronts in major U.S. cities. This guide can help you choose which size is the best option for you when ordering online.
Boyfriend High Rise Loose – Sizing
Overall, the Denim Forum Aritzia jeans run large.
I’d recommend sizing down at least one size, maybe two, depending on the style of the jeans. A loose-fitting jean like the Boyfriend High Rise Loose or the Joni High Rise Loose fit me fine when I sized one – two sizes down.
My typical sizing for reference is a 25 in Levis Wedgie Straights. And a 24 in a looser fitting style like the Levi’s Baggy Dad jean. With Denim Forum, I can get away with a 23 or 24 in a looser-fitting style.
Boyfriend High Rise Loose Jeans – Fit Specifics
Initially, I bought a size 25 in the Boyfriend High Rise Loose jeans. They were too big in pretty much every way. Although since the style is meant to fit loose, you almost can’t tell that the waist is about 3-4” too loose on me.
The size 24 is the size that I settled on after finding that the 23s were sold out. I will say that the size 24s fit fine right out of the dryer, but as I wear them, they really do loosen up and end up having a much more stretched-out look.
A size 23 fit me okay in stores but felt a little too snug. Knowing now how much these jeans will stretch during daily wear makes me wonder if I should have sized down again.
Styling Aritzia Jeans
The Boyfriend High Rise Loose Denim Forum jean is a great pair to have in a capsule wardrobe. Recently, I worked remotely in Indiana for a few months and the only two jeans I packed were my light wash and black Artizia jeans.
I like wearing my Chuck Taylor Converse shoes as a daily wear shoe and find these jeans an easy look to throw on for any occasion. Depending on the type of shirt and shoe, you can create several different options. A cropped tank, a tucked-in t-shirt, or a sweater all create easy styling options for these jeans.
I also found a new love for wearing my Levis denim jacket with my black pair of Boyfriend High Rise Loose jeans.
Aritzia Jeans Wear and Tear
After wearing these jeans for months and months as my main pair of capsule wardrobe jeans, I can safely report that they do wear well with age and excessive use. The size that I got doesn’t look too bad after weeks of wear, and the 100% cotton does a great job of shrinking back to a more fitted feel after being washed and dried.
I will say that I do think that the buttons on the Aritzia Denim Forum jeans could be a bit more high quality, but that doesn’t mean they haven’t held up well. They just look and feel cheap, in my opinion.
Final Thoughts
I’d recommend you pick up a pair or two of Aritzia jeans. Waiting to catch them on sale is likely your best bet, but you can also choose to make a bulk order to figure out your size and then return the rest that doesn’t fit quite right.
I’m extremely happy with my purchase and give this Denim Forum review a 9/10.
